Overview

Tripper is an iPhone and Apple Watch app developed by Koray Birand. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. This policy explains what the app touches and where it stays — which is: on your device.

Data Collection

Tripper does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. Apple's privacy label for Tripper reads Data Not Collected.

Data Used On Your Device

To record a ride, the app processes the following — entirely on your device:

Location — your GPS route, speed, distance and heading. Used while a ride is recording, including with the screen locked (iOS shows the location indicator whenever it is active).
Motion & Fitness — the accelerometer, gyroscope and barometer, for slope, lean angle, g-force and barometric elevation.
Heart rate — read from a paired Apple Watch through HealthKit while a ride is recording, and logged alongside the rest of the ride.

Recorded rides are stored only on your device. They leave it only when you explicitly export or share them — for example as a CSV, GPX or .trip file.

Health Data

Tripper starts a HealthKit workout session on your Apple Watch while a ride is recording. This serves two purposes: it keeps the watch dashboard on screen so you can reach the pause and marker controls without taking a hand off the bars, and it provides heart rate to log with the rest of the telemetry. The ride is saved to Health as a workout so it credits your activity rings.

Health data is never shared, sold, or used for advertising, and it never leaves your device.

Network Access

Tripper has no backend. It does not sign you in, sync, or phone home. The only network traffic it causes is Apple Maps loading map tiles, which is handled by iOS itself.

Third-Party Services

Tripper integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services of any kind.

Children's Privacy

Tripper does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
